ISDN session for Jaguar UK

This week, we had the pleasure to welcome Benedict Cumberbatch in our studios for an ISDN session with London’s Scramble Studios. We had just the time to do a radio ad for Jaguar before Benedict took off again for other adventures such as taking the plane to New Zeeland to join the film set of a certain Peter Jackson who’s doing a film adaptation of « The Hobbit ».

De Lion King. Voor het eerst in de bioscoop in 1994, en nu kunt u hem eindelijk opnieuw bewonderen in een spectaculaire 3D vertoning, maar dit slechts gedurende enkele weken. Kort na de release in de Verenigde Staten was The Lion King nummer één in de box office. Snel zijn is dus de boodschap, want weg is weg!

The « new » Adventures of Tintin

While everyone is awaiting the release of the new Tintin movie at cinemas, we already had the privilege to work on a TV commercial for Starwood Hotels, featuring exclusive footage from the new 3D movie and an evenly exclusive soundtrack. Clearly inspired by the original Tintin soundtrack and the general oeuvre of John Williams, the ad and its music had to be first approved by Sony pictures and later by Mr Jackson and Mr. Spielberg himself. A couple of days later we received a positive email. Happy faces at the office!

SPG and the Smurfs have teamed up to celebrate the release of the new Smurf 3D movie with a special offer: for every stay booked at a SPG hotel or resort, the 2nd room booked is half the price and kids under 12 eat for free!
Approved and praised by Sony Pictures, this TV ad was fully produced here at Free Son (audio & video), with the soundtrack done entirely from scratch: not a single sound/tune from the original movie has been used in this production. Talking about the power of music !

ADR session for The Incident

In June we welcomed Alexandre Courtes, the director of Belgium’s first horror movie The Incident for an ADR session with actor Joseph Kennedy. To do so we made an ISDN connection with Stellarsound studios from Sydney, Australia. Sync to image and in crystal clear quality, we recorded Joseph straight to Pro Tools thanks to our Worldnet Tokyo APTX sytem.
